Great songwriter, last week had a great unplugged gigs at teh Stazione Birra, in Rome.

Atmosphere, good music, good people. A great alchemy for a great show, and hopefully, for good shots!

from Daniele Groff’s myspace:

Italian singer songwriter Daniele Groff was born in Trento. Following at first the – literally – classical path in music with a degree in piano, oboe and cello earned at the Conservatory and several prizes won (among which the Lioness Award) Daniele’s life took an unexpected turn when brit pop came and took him and his motorbike for a journey across the United Kingdom.
In 1998 Marco Patrignani, owner of the prestigious Forum Studios (founded by Ennio Morricone and considered the Italian answer to Abbey Road), offers him the opportunity to record his first album, between Rome and London. Released on Road House Music, Variato 22 is one of the records that actually brought pop rock to Italy.
The public fell for Daniele Groff for the first time in 1998 as the young man won Sanremo Festival best newcomer, selling over 300 000 records in Italy since then.
His latest album, “Mi Accordo”, is a collection of hits with “Come Sempre” – with which he reaches the Festivalbar finals – and “Morning”, which got the JPF 2006 Music Award.
Daniele’s first class collaborations include Italian as well as international artists such as Renato Zero. He is currently working on his fourth album with Fools Garden’s Volker Hinkel and Dario Dendi, sound engineer for Coldplay and the Killers.
Always in for a thrill, Daniele is a fan of surfing, snowboarding and motorcycles.
