No matter which rhythm is overwhelming you, no matter who or where you are, what  instrument isravishing your train of thoughts or the language of the words clinging your imagination.

Every passing moment, the thread that links you with it, the Music, is more and more indissoluble. You start drawing your constellation, the shelter for your soul, the space in which you’ll always be safe and protected under the sky, your sky, made of notes, tunes and feelings. And now you imagine.

Once you discover music, you won’t renounce it.
And one day you find yourself before a stage, that after having been your home and later become a presumptuous throne, thanks to a picture it turns again into a friend, or a lover.
Now I am alive, free and peaceful, because in a photography there is not only the reproduction of a moment, but a tress, the plaiting of the lived feelings and emotions that you will never forget.
And it becomes oxygen.
Oxygen to feed everyday the little flame born inside of you, the flame of passion for what has given and returned you the life.
An introspective path made of 20 musical instants, between past and future, emotions felt and never forgotten, caught in the eyes of musicians, artists, people at the highest peak of the musical ecstasy.

The exibition is open from October 16 to November 9

Visiting hours: daily 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m., Closed on Sunday

Luigi Orru è un grande amante della musica, un musicista ed un artista visuale, e la fotografia di musica live è la naturale destinazione della sua arte.
In ogni performance, il suo obiettivo è di riportare in immagini la potenza iconica della musica e  delsuo esecutore. Da musicista, desidera riportare le sensazioni dell’artista durante lo show, in una immagine che parli al cuore, e che resti nel tempo, anche dopo l’ultima nota. Spettacolo dopo spettacolo, ha realizzato uno stile unico, riuscendo ad unire il gusto della composizione, l’attenzione al gesto ad un’acuta gestione della luce.
Guidare ognuno di questi elementi verso un immagine di livello presuppone una realizzazione tecnica perfetta. Lavora quasi esclusivamente con la luce disponibile sul palco, in modo da rappresentare esattamente l’atmosfera.
Che sia in un momento di pausa fra una nota e l’altra, o durante un solo sfrenato di un chitarrista in estasi, Luigi cerca l’attimo giusto per rivelare la musica in immagine.
Nasce nel 1967, da sempre fotografa, ma scopre l’essenza del disegno con la luce grazie all’associazione Officine Fotografiche ed ai suoi maestri.
Vive, lavora ed espone a Roma.
